Bishop Transition Committee Applications Now Being Accepted
The Standing Committee is now accepting applications for lay and clergy to serve on the Bishop Transition Committee. The Transition Committee picks up when the slate of candidates from the Nominating Committee is accepted (approximately January 2021). The Transition Committee will introduce the candidates around the diocese by setting up regional meetings. They will plan all phases of the transition, including the liturgy for the Ordination & Consecration of Utah’s Twelfth Bishop and the logistics of the move to Utah. Also, on their plate will be the celebration of Bishop Hayashi’s episcopacy. Click here for the job description and online application. The deadline for applications has been extended to April 10, 2020. Clergy and lay leaders, please share this request in your communications to your congregations.
Your Standing Committee prays that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy in this crazy time. Blessings and many thanks for those essential workers making a difference for others. As we continue through these stressful times of our current reality, it is important to be gentle with one another and be attentive to self-care which includes physical, emotional, and spiritual lives.
